2017 Governor’s Luncheon

The annual luncheon was held on 22 November 2017 where the Governors were joined by 2017 Doctoral Scholarship recipients:

Dr Melanie Gibson-Helm for Ms Rebecca Blackmore – Monash University (Allied Health);
Dr Elliot Long – Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (Medicine) ;
Ms Sacha Petersen – the University of Melbourne; (Nursing);
Mrs Rachel Tindall – The University of Melbourne (Nursing).

as well as Prof Rosemary Horne from Monash University who with her colleagues was awarded funds to pursue Infant Safe Sleeping guidelines.

2013 Governors’ Luncheon

On 28 November 2013 the annual Foundation Governors’ Luncheon was held where a number of grant recipients were invited to join the Governors, and provide a small informal presentation of their project, that the Foundation supported, and the results so far.

The purpose of the function was to provide the researchers with a chance to meet their peers and the Governors of the Foundation.

Researchers who attended:

Ms Alys Cummings – La Trobe Rural Health School
(Alys was invited back again this year for an update on her project)
Ms Robin Digby – Monash University
Ms Linda McAuliffe – La Trobe University
Mr David Jackson – Catholic Homes
Mr Mark Merolli – University of Melbourne
Dr Coral Brown and Ms Robyn Gordon – Cairnmillar Institute

Cairnmillar Institute was the recipient of a $40,000 grant to provide funding for “The Big Tent Project” in the 2012/2013 year.
